A Silly Boy Day

Day 20~ My First...

• Your First Job-  one of my favorite jobs ever. Worked in the library from 15 to 20 years old. Surrounded by books- what more could a girl ask for?!
• The First Thing to Your Left - a SHINE Christmas platter.  Just bought it at Target a few weeks back. One of my favorite new purchases.
• First Memory in First Grade- that I was thankful to finally have a nice teacher. I remember my Kindergarten teacher not always being so nice so what a delight when my teacher made us laugh. 
• The First book you ever read-  I have loved reading from such an early age. I can't remember which book exactly but I've had a library card since before I can even remember. If I had to chose one memory- it would be all of the Laura Ingalls Wilder series.
• The First Thing I Do in the Morning-  if I'm up before the alarm clock at 6am, I sneak downstairs to just be by myself. Check my email or watch art videos. It's my favorite time of day.
• The First Food You Knew You Didn't Like- the first memory is celery. Funny how your tastes change! Now I'm a fan. 
• Your First Memory- seeing and touching my first birthday cake. I remember like it was yesterday... 38 years ago that is ;)

Day 19: 10 Things Currently in My Bag

1. A stuffed wallet of receipts sticking out. Need to clean out my wallet!

2. Christmas cards and a thank you card that I need to hand out tonight at a party.

3. Two make-up bags. Seriously- I need 2? No wonder my shoulder hurts.

4. Stickers that the Osteopath office gave the kids.

5. A bag to hold??? Not sure what at this point.

6. Diapers- I have twin toddlers. Actually surprised only two diapers are in my purse. 

7. A match box truck, two cars, a motorcycle, a hovercraft, and a 4- wheeler. When did my purse become a diaper bag and toy box?!

8. Lotion and Chapstick- I literally never leave home without the two!

9. My inhaler, migraine meds and ibuprofen - apparently my purse is a medicine cabinet too.

10. Another pile of receipts. I seriously need to clean out my purse.

1. I would die for my children. 

2. I wish it was Summer all year long.

4. Creating art or doing anything creative is the best therapy.

6.  My "pea mate" is my life line.

7. Seeing the world through my toddlers eyes is some of the best parts of my day. 

8. I could have a room full of books and still look for more books.

9. There are good people in this world.

10.  Nap time is my saving grace part of the day...

1. My 2 year old twins are my life and I can't imagine life (or remember) life without them.

2. A part of me misses going to work everyday. I miss the social aspect (I'm quite chatty) and I miss "making a difference" social work.

 3. My friends keep me going. I talk to my best friend every day.

4. My art truly is my escape.

5. I love the ocean but would leave Maine in a heartbeat if I could! Any place warm- I'm over the winters!

6. I wish I had the time (and energy) to dress better and coordinate accessories more.

7. I am extremely shy and self conscious but will talk anyone's ear off (or text)

8. I miss my Grandmother and think of her every day.

9. I would love to have my own Manhatten apartment.

10. My ultimate style would be chic hippy.

1. What's the first thing you think of when you think of red? Walls! I would love to have red kitchen walls or at least a shade of country red.

3. What is the last thing that made you angry? Oooohhhhh, that's easy! Ask the neighbor boy who woke up my cranky, teething toddler? ;)
4. Are you a fan of romance? NO!
5. Do you have a temper? Ask the neighbor boy...

2. Closest green thing to you? The dog training collar. It sure sounds funny when I think of Pooh Bear and a dog training collar next to me...
3. What's your favourite green environment? Palm trees in Sunny Florida! 
4. Are you jealous of anyone right now? Anyone in warm and sunny Florida! 
5. Are you a lucky person? I feel incredibly blessed!

What I'm Watching: Too many shows! With no time! I'm a Bravoholic! Love, love, love Homeland! If you haven't watched- you're missing something absolutely amazing! 

What I'm listening to: Silence! It's golden. My favorite part of the afternoon~ nap time! When my kids are awake~ it's my iPod on and listening to Springsteen by Eric Church. My two year old son is obsessed! Obsessed enough that we have to listen to the song on repeat. This has literally been his favorite song since he was eight months old...

What I'm Loving: My new SOAR cuff bracelet from FarmGirl Paints (on Etsy) ~ you should check out her shop! Fabulous!  It's my new favorite thing!

What I'm Wearing: Cute shoes that I found in Freeport, Maine.  Also one of my new favorite purchases. 

What I'm Creating: Points of Three journal that I share with Amber and Lia. Also, an art journal that I share with Amber. It truly is my creative outlet!

What I'm Looking Forward To: For my phone to be fixed! Completely lost without it! Dropped and broke my phone last night. Hoping I can get it repaired without having to upgrade! Fingers crossed!
